How to post strength training on Strava
Strava can log the workout. Here's how to make the post show what you actually trained.
Step-by-step
- 1Record with a watch, or open Strava and tap Add Manual Entry.
- 2Set the activity type to Weight Training (or Workout for a more general session).
- 3Add the duration and any heart rate or calorie data. Save the activity.
- 4Open UPPOST and pick the Strength template. Add sets, reps, muscle groups trained, workout type (push / pull / legs / upper / full body) and feeling.
- 5Copy the title and caption into Strava and attach the UPPOST image — including the muscle map — as the cover photo.
Example
Title: Push day · Chest + Shoulders + Triceps · 5 lifts · 1h05
Caption: Bench 4×6 @ 100kg, OHP 4×8, dips, cable flies, triceps pushdowns. Solid session.
Common mistakes
- Leaving the title as "Weight Training" — the feed shows that and nothing else.
- Skipping muscle groups. Other lifters look for split context.
- No photo. Even a clean text-on-image recap outperforms an empty activity.
- Hiding the working sets in the description.
- Logging two sessions (lift + cardio) as one activity. Split them.
FAQ
Can I post strength training on Strava?
Yes. Strava has a Weight Training activity type. You can record it on a watch or add it manually. UPPOST adds the sets, reps and muscle-group context Strava doesn't capture.
Does UPPOST post to Strava automatically?
No. UPPOST creates the image, title, and caption. You attach them to the Strava activity yourself.
Do I need to log every set and rep in UPPOST?
No. Add what makes the session memorable. The Strength template is flexible — log a full workout or just the main lifts.
Is UPPOST affiliated with Strava?
No. UPPOST is independent — no partnership, sync, or official integration.
