How to post tennis on Strava
Short, direct answer first — then how to make the post actually show what happened in the match.
Step-by-step
- 1Record the session. Use a smartwatch, fitness tracker, or the Strava app to record the workout. If you didn't record, open Strava and choose Add Manual Entry.
- 2Set the sport type to Tennis. On the activity edit screen, change Activity Type to Tennis so it logs correctly.
- 3Save the activity. Strava now has the duration, time, and (if recorded) heart rate or calories.
- 4Open UPPOST and pick the Tennis template. Fill in the details Strava can't capture: score, surface, singles or doubles, opponent, result.
- 5Copy the title and caption into the Strava activity, and attach the UPPOST image as the cover photo. That's what the feed will see first.
Example
Title: Tennis · 6-4 3-6 7-5 vs. Marco · Clay · 2h12
Caption: Three sets on clay. Lost the second when my serve dropped, found it back in the decider. Next match Friday.
Common mistakes
- Leaving the title as "Lunch Tennis" — the feed shows that first.
- Putting score only in the description. Most people never tap in.
- Skipping the photo. Posts with photos get measurably more engagement.
- Using a generic graphic. It looks the same as every other tennis post.
- Posting two days later. Same-day posts get more impressions in the feed.
FAQ
Can I post tennis on Strava?
Yes. Tennis is a supported activity type on Strava. You can record it with a connected watch or app, or add it manually from the Strava app or website.
Does UPPOST post to Strava automatically?
No. UPPOST creates the image, title, and caption. You copy them into the Strava activity yourself. There is no automatic posting and no official Strava integration.
Can I use UPPOST if I recorded with Garmin, Apple Watch or Wahoo?
Yes. UPPOST works regardless of which device or app recorded the session. You're enhancing the Strava post, not the recording itself.
Is UPPOST affiliated with Strava?
No. UPPOST is an independent tool. It doesn't claim partnership, sync, or official integration with Strava.
